Challenge

Located along Lewisville Lake, Stewart Creek Park was experiencing ongoing shoreline erosion caused by wave action and fluctuating lake levels. A durable stabilization solution was needed to help protect vulnerable parkland and recreational areas while complementing the natural lakefront setting.

Solution 

HydroTurf® Z was selected to provide engineered erosion protection along the shoreline. A total of 12,800 square feet was installed, combining high-performance erosion control with a natural, vegetated appearance appropriate for the highly visible recreational environment.

Result 

The completed system provides long-term shoreline stabilization designed to withstand challenging hydraulic conditions, helping reduce continued soil loss and protect the surrounding park environment.
